Job Description

Overview:
R&N Manufacturing, Ltd. is a top-tier supplier of custom steel process equipment for the Oil, Gas, Petrochemical, and Energy Industries. The company has established itself as a leader in ASME pressure vessel fabrication on the Gulf Coast, thanks to its unwavering commitment to quality, timely deliveries, and strong client relationships. R&N has taken on both small and large-scale projects, shipping products both domestically and internationally, with greater than 95 percent of work coming from repeat customers. R&N is currently seeking a full-time shipping & receiving assistant who can proficiently handle the responsibilities below.
Job-Specific Responsibilities:
Loading and unloading various material from trucks, often by forklift, pallet jack, or dolly. Checking document specifications to accurately receive materials; Assigning verified materials to specific physical locations throughout the shop. Tagging materials appropriately and releasing items to the shop for fabrication. Maintaining an accurate log of stock inventory materials, relaying to supervisor when item stock gets low. Ability to select, load, and palletize materials for outbound shipments. Data entry and label creation, as needed. Other duties, as assigned.
What We're Looking For:
A proactive, self-motivated individual with entry to mid-level experience in logistics coordination and inventory management, ideally in a manufacturing setting. Applicant must be willing and able to work 6:00am-4:30pm Monday-Friday & 6:00am-2:30pm Saturday. Regular and timely attendance on the job site is required. Physically able to lift, push, move 50 lbs. or greater. Must be able to accurately read a tape measure to confirm various material dimensions. Applicant MUST hold a valid driver's license through the duration of his/her employment. Prior experience working in a fabrication environment and familiarity with flanges and piping is HIGHLY preferred. Ability to operate a forklift preferred, but not immediately required. Basic math skills and computer competency (Microsoft Excel & Word) a plus. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Adaptable and willing to learn. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Familiarity with various basic computer applications. Must have ability to work efficiently in a high pressure, multi-tasking environment. Excellent organization skills. Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
