Job Description

Position Summary The Quality Control Associate is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of outbound shipments in a fast-paced warehouse environment near the DFW Airport. This role plays a critical part in verifying that all orders are complete, correctly picked, properly packaged, and meet customer and company standards before leaving the facility. Key Responsibilities Inspect and verify outbound orders for accuracy, including item count, product type, labeling, and packaging. Compare shipments against pick tickets, packing slips, and system records to ensure correctness. Identify and resolve discrepancies, errors, or damaged items prior to shipment. Collaborate with warehouse, picking, and packing teams to address and correct issues quickly. Ensure all shipments meet company quality standards, customer specifications, and carrier requirements. Maintain detailed and accurate records of quality checks and discrepancies. Assist in investigating recurring errors and support process improvements. Ensure proper labeling, documentation, and compliance with shipping procedures. Follow all safety policies and warehouse procedures. Support overall warehouse operations as needed, including assisting with packing or staging shipments during high-volume periods. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. 1-3 years of warehouse, shipping, or quality control experience preferred. Experience in a high-volume warehouse or distribution environment is a plus. Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or shipping systems preferred. Strong attention to detail and ability to spot discrepancies quickly. Basic math and data entry skills. Skills & Competencies Strong attention to detail and accuracy Problem-solving and critical thinking Time management and ability to meet deadlines Communication and teamwork Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Commitment to quality and continuous improvement Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods. Ability to perform repetitive tasks in a warehouse environment. Comfortable working in varying temperatures and noise levels.
Pay:
$21.00 - $24.00 per hour
