SHIPPING CLERK

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

As a Simtek shipping clerk you will be responsible to prepare products for shipment to customers worldwide. Products to be shipped include high fidelity simulated training components used in Military and Commercial flight simulators. Product line includes, simulated Instrument gauges, Control Panels, and Multifunction LCD displays. The role is also accountable for; meeting and exceeding company wide expectations in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, attendance, attitude/teamwork, cross training in all areas of operations as required, and other tasks and duties outside primary job function as assigned by management.

ACCOUNTABILITY

The following summarizes the key job accountabilities to be performed by the shipping clerk in the respective assigned job function/area:

SHIPPING

Candidates should possess an extreme level of detail with strong quality and productivity orientation. Ability to read customer supplied specifications and follow job related assembly instructions and diagrams to mask and prepare items for paint. Obtain packing sheet for shipments and verify all required documents are provided Work with management to ensure packing sheets are correct prior to shipment Verify products or parts against packing sheet to ensure correct shipment Verify products are labeled accordingly with appropriate labels prior to shipment Photograph units / products prior to shipment Pack boxes to protect products from shipping damage. Process shipment with preferred freight carrier. Place completed shipment in the designated outgoing shipments area for pick up by assigned freight carrier. Maintain a clean work environment Actively crosstrain in other areas, as required, outside of primary job function. GENERAL Maintain acceptable time and attendance based on Simtek policies defined by Human Resources & Operations. Demonstrates a positive "team" oriented attitude and approach toward all work assignments. Contributes to the ongoing success of the entire operations team by willingly accepting and embracing "other tasks and duties as assigned" along with willingness to help the department as a whole. Other measurements of attitude/teamwork include, but are not limited to, effectiveness in working with co-workers, ability to work overtime, sense of urgency within the department, ability to work unsupervised, overall flexibility and positive attitude focused on delivery of desired results for Simtek. Actively cross train in other areas, as required, outside of primary job function. HOURS 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday with overtime opportunity. PAY Is compensatory to experience

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
