On-Site Job Description A well-established company in the oil & gas machining services industry is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join the team. This is a full-time, on-site role working Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring materials and products are processed efficiently and accurately. Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, packing slips. Prepare, package, label, and process outgoing shipments according to company and carrier requirements. Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records. Load and unload trucks using material handling equipment when required. Organize, stock, and maintain warehouse storage areas for efficiency and safety. Report shortages, damages, or discrepancies to management promptly. Coordinate with vendors, carriers, suppliers, and internal departments regarding shipment status and delivery schedules. Perform routine inventory counts and assist with inventory audits. Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and scanners safely and according to company policies. Ensure compliance with safety procedures, shipping regulations, and company policies. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.Requirements:
Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, or logistics experience preferred Basic computer skills, including experience with inventory or warehouse management systems Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to read shipping documents, packing slips, and inventory records accurately Good communication and teamwork skills Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment Forklift certification (or ability to obtain certification) Experience with ERP, warehouse management systems (WMS), or barcode scanning systems preferred Knowledge of shipping carriers and freight procedures (UPS, FedEx, LTL, etc.) preferred Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift Due to the high volume of applications we typically receive, we regret that we are not able to personally respond to all applications.
