Shipping Clerk Job Description The Shipping Clerk accurately receives, pulls, repackages, and ships products to customers within a fast-paced, climate-controlled warehouse environment. This role supports daily operations by handling bulk and small-quantity orders, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring orders are prepared and shipped on time. Responsibilities Receive incoming products and materials and verify quantities and accuracy against documentation. Pull product for customer orders by hand or using a pallet jack, following order specifications and priority. Break down bulk orders into smaller quantities according to customer requirements. Repackage products securely and neatly to ensure safe and accurate shipment. Prepare orders for shipment, including labeling, staging, and organizing outbound shipments. Ship product to customers in smaller quantities, ensuring correct items and quantities for each order. Support general labor tasks in the warehouse as needed to keep operations running smoothly. Assist with basic inventory tasks such as counting, organizing, and restocking product. Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of equipment and adherence to dress code requirements. Work collaboratively with a team in a fast-paced production and warehouse environment to meet daily goals and deadlines. Essential Skills 1-2+ years of packaging, receiving, and/or shipping experience in a fast-paced production or warehouse environment. Hands-on experience with packing, shipping, and receiving products. Ability to pick orders accurately by hand and with a pallet jack. Experience breaking down bulk orders and repackaging into smaller quantities. Basic inventory handling skills, including counting and organizing stock. Capability to perform general labor tasks in a warehouse setting. Ability to work efficiently and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Comfort working with pallet jacks and other basic warehouse equipment. Strong attention to detail when pulling, packaging, and shipping orders. Weekend work is rare and typically limited to occasional Saturdays, with Sundays almost never required. The position includes two paid 15-minute breaks and one 30-minute unpaid lunch. The dress code requires closed-toe shoes, and the environment involves working around typical warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks while performing physical tasks like picking, packing, and repackaging products. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irving, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.75 - $20.75/hr.
