Receiving and Shipping Associate Midland International Logistics Laredo, TX Job Details Full-time From $15 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Computer operation Customer communication Freight documentation management Packing Computer literacy Moving Forklift High school diploma or GED Shipping and receiving inventory management Warehouse experience Pallet jack Transportation documentation for distribution operations Shipping documentation Full Job Description Job Overview The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accurate documentation, maintaining inventory records, and coordinating with carriers, warehouse personnel, and customers. This position plays a key role in maintaining efficient warehouse operations and ensuring products are received and shipped accurately and on time. Responsibilities Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips. Accurately unload, sort, and store materials in designated warehouse locations. Prepare, package, label, and process outbound shipments according to customer requirements. Generate and maintain shipping and receiving documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and inventory records. Coordinate pickups and deliveries with transportation providers and carriers. Perform inventory counts and assist with inventory control activities. Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and efficiently. Identify and report damaged, missing, or incorrect shipments. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Follow company policies, safety procedures, and quality standards. Assist with other warehouse and logistics duties as assigned. Required Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum 1-3 years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or logistics operations preferred. Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures, inventory control, and warehouse operations. Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, or shipping software is preferred. Ability to read and understand shipping documents, bills of lading, and packing slips. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word). Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to communicate effectively with team members, customers, and carriers. Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly. Forklift certification or experience preferred. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Reliable transportation and dependable attendance. Preferred Qualifications Experience in cross-border logistics, transportation, or customs-related operations. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Knowledge of inventory management and warehouse safety practices. Experience with freight carriers, LTL, FTL, parcel shipments, and distribution center operations.
