SALARY & BENEFITS
In addition to the base pay range listed, team members in this role may qualify for annual incentive bonuses based on company and individual performance. POSITION SUMMARY
Works individually and as part of a team with the responsibility for assembling orders and preparing orders for shipment. This intermediate-level position requires demonstrated proficiency in shipping and receiving operations and the ability to work independently within established procedures.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Receives, unpacks, inspects, and stores incoming materials and supplies. Operates and troubleshoots equipment necessary for shipping/receiving. Assembles orders for shipment. Applies shipping/receiving concepts and techniques with full proficiency. Uses shipping records, sales orders, standard operating procedures, diagrams, and bill of ladings to verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments and orders. Maintains inventory accuracy including inbound, outbound, and rolls returned from production to the shipping team. Follows quality standards including identifying and documenting damages and discrepancies for action. Works and coordinates with other departments. Gathers, places, moves, loads, and arranges materials and supplies. Maintains shipping/receiving documentation and basic documentation including work times. Keeps work areas free of debris and organized. Ensures compliance with health and safety laws, regulations, procedures, and best practices including identification of potential safety hazards. Works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Communicates effectively with team members and supervisors regarding work status, questions, and any issues that arise. Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Ability to be accurate while exceeding productivity targets. Moderate analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent time management skills, with proven ability to meet production targets. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Demonstrated understanding of products and equipment used in shipping/receiving. Experience working as part of a team working towards a common goal. Demonstrated full proficiency in all aspects of shipping and receiving operations. 1+ years of shipping/receiving or warehousing experience.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Works both indoors and outdoors. Outdoor work is in the direct elements. Indoor sites may not be temperature-controlled. Are often exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels. Are exposed to hazardous equipment. Shares work space with others. Usually work a standard 40-hour shift work week, but overtime periods are necessary to meet company and customer demands.
