Ludlum Measurements Inc is seeking a talented Shipping Clerk professional to join our team in Sweetwater, Texas. The Shipping Clerk is responsible for preparing outgoing shipments globally. This is a high-volume, physical operation requiring a meticulous person to work as part of a team dedicated to ensuring the integrity of our Shipping operations. To be successful in this role, you will need excellent written and verbal communication skills and diligence. Full-Time, In-Person Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Accurately packing items according to shipping requirements and company standards as well as selecting appropriate packaging materials to protect products during transit. Ensuring proper labeling and documentation for each shipment. Weighing and measuring packages to determine shipping costs and methods. Coordinating with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries. Tracking and monitoring shipments to ensure timely delivery. Communicating with customers regarding shipment status and delivery updates. Maintaining accurate records of inventory levels as well as stocking and organizing materials. Ensuring that sufficient packaging supplies are available. Maintaining accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments. Work with other shipping clerks to see that all invoices are handled promptly, and goods are shipped and stored properly Unload trucks and deliveries Assisting with other warehouse tasks as needed Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, as many packages are large Experience working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Ability to maintain a high level of physicality for prolonged periods and working primarily standing Experience with software such as Microsoft Excel and other company spreadsheet programs Interpersonal skills are essential, as working as a team is vital to maintaining an organized warehouse Strong organizational and time management skills Relevant customer service experience is a plus as shipping clerks interact with customers to replace lost or damaged goods Compensation / Benefits Salary is dependent upon experience Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off and holidays Flexible Spending Account Opportunities for professional growth and development About Ludlum Measurements Ludlum Measurements, Inc. designs and manufactures radiation detection instruments used in environmental, industrial, and governmental applications around the world.
