SHIPPER/RECEIVER and play a key role in keeping materials and products moving safely and on schedule. General Scope of Duties:
The Shipping & Receiving Associate is responsible for product shipment to both domestic and international customers. This person will be responsible for shipping and receiving the product accurately. Organization, teamwork, and a cool head under pressure are vital. Shipping & Receiving Associates are reliable and able to work with attention to detail and within safety standards. The individual in this position should have a willingness to learn and improve. Being a team player is essential since all tasks will require close collaboration with coworkers. The goal in this position is to ensure logistics procedures are carried out safely to maximize efficiency and profits.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Drive a safety culture based on accountability, trust, and care for your teammate. Maintaining a high level of professionalism, positive attitude, and cooperation with fellow associates, customers, and vendors. Serve as an administrative back-up for the Shipping Team Leader in case of an absence or scheduled day off. Reliability and willingness to work 60 hours per week to meet deadlines. Meet or exceed quality assurance and safety standards. Load and unload delivery trucks, trailers, etc. Verifies and records all items loaded for shipments. Prepare and ship product according to customer order. Carefully and accurately maintains shipping records for requested categories. Maintains database of shipment data to ensure that customer orders are updated and that appropriate billing documents are provided to the Business Support Team. Receives goods and verifies the quality and count of all items unloaded from trucks and trailers. Prepares bills of lading for shipments. Accurately complete all paperwork needed to ensure information is documented. Notifies supervisor of major discrepancies, over-shipments, or substitutions. Keep environment clean daily. Work in a high volume fast paced environment. Must be able to occasionally lift 50•75 lbs. Performs other clerical duties. Other duties as required/needed.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Minimum of a high school diploma or GED. Minimum two years' experience in a Logistics Environment, to include the use of manufacturing and order processing software/systems. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite to maintain records, input data, and create reports. Successful completion of in-house forklift, and safety training. Ability to effectively communicate with teams and solve issues that may arise Good organizational skills and attention to detail. JDE experience preferred. 1st Shift•7 AM•7 PM Monday•

None Effort & Working Conditions:
Normal work environment allows the associate to work and move about freely of the workstation. There may be some need to lift moderately heavy articles. The physical environment is clean and climate-controlled within a partitioned workstation. There is frequent involvement in the manufacturing environment. Sensory attention is required to do keyboarding and ensure product quality.
