Job Description

Humboldt Machine is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Shipping & Inventory Clerk to join our team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate receipt, storage, inventory control, and shipment of materials and finished products. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, possess strong organizational skills, and be committed to maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and safety throughout warehouse operations. Key Responsibilities Prepare, package, and ship products according to customer requirements, ensuring proper labeling, documentation, and packaging standards. Receive incoming materials and verify quantities and condition against purchase orders and packing slips. Load, unload, move, and store materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment. Accurately pick and pack customer orders to support on-time delivery and customer satisfaction. Perform inventory transactions, stock counts, cycle counts, and inventory reconciliations within company systems. Maintain accurate inventory records through the use of warehouse management software, MRP systems, and RF scanners. Organize and stock inventory in designated warehouse locations while maintaining proper material identification and traceability. Collaborate with production, purchasing, and customer service teams to ensure efficient material flow and order fulfillment. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment while following all company safety policies and procedures. Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency and inventory accuracy. Qualifications Previous experience in shipping, receiving, inventory control, or warehouse operations preferred. Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment; forklift certification preferred. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), MRP systems, and inventory management processes. Experience using RF scanners and computerized inventory systems. Basic computer skills, including data entry and inventory tracking. Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills. Ability to accurately count, verify, and reconcile inventory. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday. Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly. Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm (or applicable schedule)
Pay:
$20.00 - $24.00 per hour
