Job Description

Job Summary The Shipping and Receiving Associate is responsible for the accurate handling, preparation, crating, and shipment of materials and finished goods. This role includes the construction of custom wooden crates and packaging using various power saws and pneumatic air tools to ensure products are secuely prepared for domestic and International shipment. The position requires adherence to safety standards, quality requirements, and shipping schedules. Key Responsibilities 1. Receive, inspect, and Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and shipping documentation 2. Prepare outgoing shipments by packing, labeling, and staging materials in accordance with company and carrier rquirements 3. Construct custom wooden crates, pallets, and protective packaging using power saws (e.g., table saws, circular saws, miter saws) and pneumatic air tools (e.g., nail guns, staplers) 4. Measure, cut, and assemble wood materials to specified dimensions and load requirements 5. Secure products wihin crates using blocking, bracing, and cushioning materials to prevent damage during transit 6. Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks (as certified or required) 7. Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records using manual logs or warehouse management systems 8. Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance of tools, equipment, and work areas 9. Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and compliance with OSHA regulations 10. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient shipping and receiving area 11. Coordinate with production, quality, and logistics teams to meet shipping deadlines; •
