Shipping Associate

Shipping Associate Peoplelink Staffing , in partnership with a prominent Distribution Center the Petersburg, VA area, is seeking Shipping Associates to join their team!

Shipping Associate Job Summary:

Pay:

$18 an hour

Shifts Available:

1st

Shift:

7:30 AM - to 4:00 PM 9:00 AM - 6:00PM 10 AM to 6:30 PM •

Protective Packaging:

Wrap, cushion, and box delicate or heavy vehicle components to survive transit without damage. •

Carrier Processing:

Operate terminal software for major carriers like UPS , FedEx , and DHL to generate shipping labels and tracking numbers. •

Order Audit:

Compare physical item labels against customer packing slips to catch order discrepancies prior to sealing boxes. •

Trailer Loading:

Stack, organize, and load outbound parcels and wrapped pallets safely onto carrier transport trailers. •

Housekeeping:

Maintain a clean, hazard-free packing station by organizing boxes, tape, and dunnage materials daily.

Shipping Associate Qualifications:

Shipping experience a must (resume must show experience)

Heavy Lifting:

Ability to repeatedly lift, push, and pull warehouse packages weighing up to 70 pounds .

Mobility:

Stamina to stand, walk, reach, bend, and lift continuously throughout a standard 8-to-10 hour shift.

System Literacy:

Comfortable navigating basic computer screens to look up orders, verify part numbers, and print logistics paperwork.

Schedule:

Availability to work standard daytime warehouse shifts, typically Monday through Friday. GED or Highschool diploma required Why Peoplelink Staffing?
