division is currently seeking a Shipping Clerk - 1st Shift at our Klockner Dr location in Richmond, VA. The hourly rate for this position is $21.63 per hour. What you'll do:
Position Overview:
The Shipping Clerk will be responsible for assisting the Supply Chain department with the implementation of material strategies and initiatives across the Richmond sites. In this function you will:
Timely and accurate shipment and invoicing of all orders Generate Bills of Lading and other shipping documents for all shipped products. Monitor outbound shipping schedule and effectively communicate any deviations from scheduled shipment plan Assign product to trucks by consulting shipping orders and inventory records Ensure quantity and quality objectives are met for all orders Ensure priority orders ship as requested (both on time and ship via) Interface with carriers, internal sales and customer service departments to maximize performance and customer satisfaction Load trucks with outgoing product as required Prepare documents to route materials Print shipping labels, pack, and ship items Requisition and store shipping supplies to maintain stock of labels and items needed to perform job Perform all clerical duties as necessary to ensure the accurate and timely shipment of all orders Perform other duties as assigned

High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) required Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without out company sponsorship, now or in the future No relocation is being offered for this role. All candidates considered must live within 50 miles of the Richmond, VA location. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years' experience in shipping department, preferably in a manufacturing organization Prior forklift certification strongly preferred
