Job Description

American Paper Converting is a fast‑growing, innovative manufacturing company producing essential household paper products such as paper towels, bath tissue, and facial tissue. Tissue products remain in demand even during economic downturns, making our work both stable and impactful. Our environment is fast‑paced, team‑oriented, and focused on continuous improvement.
Position Summary:
The Shipping & Receiving Associate supports all incoming and outgoing product movement within our paper converting facility. This role ensures accurate staging, shipment, and receipt of materials while maintaining inventory integrity and upholding APC's safety, quality, and operational standards.
Job Duties:
Communicates with operations and management to ensure that goals are accomplished and shipment deadlines are met. Verify shipments are staged and accurate 24 hours before shipment. Ensure all personnel are meeting quality expectations. Perform quality checks at regular intervals ensure products meet specification before shipment. Completes appropriate testing, paperwork and reports as required. Support and apply the APC computer system for documentation and inventory control purposes. Participate in inventory cycle counts and adjustments. Maintain safe, clean and organized working environment by enforcing and complying with policies and procedures.
Skills/Qualifications:
Proficiency in basic arithmetic. Ability to effectively manage time, meet deadlines and coordinate work functions with fellow workers. Organized. Ability to exercise independent judgment. Team player, dependable, flexible and self-managed. Good communication and organization skills. Able to communicate verbally or in writing with multiple levels of the organization. Adaptive and quick learner of computer programs and systems. Be able to lift 50 pounds. Be able to stand or sit for extended periods of time during shift. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or Equivalent. 2+ year of Fork Lift Experience 2+ years of shipping and receiving experience with supervision preferred. Inventory control experience preferred.
