Job Description

We are hiring a Fulfillment Associate on behalf of our client, a long-standing innovator in the medical and educational industries. This 100% onsite role is based in Sterling, VA, and is ideal for motivated individuals eager to contribute to a people-first, team-oriented culture. The Role Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will support daily operations including order processing, inventory management, and shipping. You will work cross-functionally with internal teams to maintain high service levels and uphold company quality standards.
Location:
Sterling, VA Compensation:
$18.00-$20.00/hr
Schedule:
Mon-Fri, 9:00am- 5:00pm (occasional overtime and weekends needed)
Responsibilities:
Pack and unpack warehouse items in an efficient and organized manner. Perform data entry for orders using designated carrier shipping software. Prepare and organize shipping requests, labels, and printed materials for daily processing. Ensure all incoming and outgoing inventory and shipments are secure. Build and wrap pallets for secure transport with freight carriers. Participate in team offloading of full truck and container loads. Compare shipment contents against manifests and invoices to ensure accuracy. Conduct quality control inspections to identify defects or damage. Utilize software systems like Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word to manage data. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and perform physically strenuous tasks including standing, walking, and bending. Strong reading, writing, and verbal communication skills in English. Basic to intermediate Excel skills, including data entry, lookups, and sorting. Basic understanding of MS Office (Outlook, Word, SharePoint) and email management. General computer proficiency and the ability to operate warehouse equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks. Reliable transportation to the Sterling, VA facility. Flexibility to work a Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM schedule, with availability for occasional overtime on weekdays and weekends. Key Soft Skills Ownership mentality with the ability to see projects through from start to finish. Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Ability to retain information and apply knowledge effectively to different situations.
