Makes system updates as necessary. Primary Duties Receive incoming shipments of goods and materials, ensuring accuracy and completeness by verifying against purchase orders and other relevant documentation. Inspect shipments for damages or discrepancies, recording findings and promptly reporting any issues to the appropriate parties. Coordinate and prepare items for quality inspection, assisting in conducting necessary inspections or audits as required. Maintain systematic filing and organization of documents to ensure easy access and retrieval as needed. Collaborate with and direct material handlers to ensure efficient and safe movement of goods and materials within the warehouse, prioritizing tasks based on operational needs. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment to unload and move shipments as needed, while performing routine maintenance checks and promptly reporting any issues. Restocking products and materials and keeping area clean and organized. Use of handheld scanners or other technology to ensure correct items are accounted for. Other duties as assigned Qualifications Ability to accurately verify shipments against purchase orders and other documentation. Basic math skills for inventory counts and order verification. Proficiency in using handheld scanners and warehouse management software and MS Office suite of products. Effective communication skills for interacting with vendors, carriers, and internal teams. Knowledge of and commitment to warehouse safety practices and procedures.
Physical Requirement:
Must be able to properly lift, pack, stack and wrap up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
Working Conditions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and use hands to touch, grasp, handle and feel items. Noise level is usually moderate. Warehouse temperature may reach up to 90 degrees during the Summer months.
Education / Experience
High School Diploma or Equivalent Previous experience in a warehouse, receiving, or related field is often preferred.
