  • Full-time About the Role K&N, an Impel company headquartered in Spokane Valley, WA, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving team member to join our operations.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced, varied environment. If you enjoy the challenge of securing unique loads, working with straps, chains, binders, and overhead crane operations, and take pride in precise, efficient packing, this may be the right opportunity for you. This position also includes customer interfacing and computer data entry , along with occasional equipment pickup and delivery . Key Responsibilities Receive, inspect, and verify incoming and outgoing materials and equipment Prepare, secure, and load/unload shipments using straps, chains, binders, and related equipment Operate overhead cranes for material handling (as needed) Pack and organize materials efficiently and safely for transport ("tetris-style" packing) Using the computer system, perform accurate data entry and maintain shipping/receiving records Communicate with customers via phone to provide updates, answer questions, and support service needs Pick up and deliver customer-owned equipment on a routine or emergency basis (use of a 1 ton, 2.5 ton, and 10 ton truck to transport customer motors) Load and unload shipments using a forklift Ensure timely and accurate completion of deliveries and documentation Maintain a strong focus on safety and quality standards at all times What We're Looking For High school diploma or GED required Current CDL Class B (or A) required Computer Skills
  • must be able to use Microsoft Office and ERP/computerized tracking system Able to work independently with minimal supervision Comfortable interfacing with customers Previous forklift operation certification or experience required Previous experience with shipping, receiving & inventory tracking in a manufacturing/industrial setting preferred Ability to work in a hands-on, physically active environment: regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, and move about the facility Frequent lifting and moving of materials; occasional lifting not to exceed 100 pounds Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Previous warehouse safety training or OSHA certification a plus Willingness to learn and adapt in a multi-task, varied-role environment Strong commitment to providing excellent customer service Must be able to pass a pre-employment Criminal Background Check and Motor Vehicle Report Must be able to pass a DOT Commercial Driver 5-Panel Drug Screen and Physical DOT Medical Exam during the first week of employment.
