The Shipping & Receiving Clerk responsible for keeping records of all products shipped and received.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Maintains a database of shipment information and documentation to ensure that customer orders are updated accurately and filed accordingly. Carefully and accurately maintains shipping records. Coordinates orders for shipment. Verifies and records all items loaded for shipments. Notifies supervisor of major discrepancies, over-shipments, or substitutions. Answers phones and generates computerized reports. Responsible for inventory management and cycle counts of product. Responsible for shipping invoices.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Attention to detail: Accuracy is crucial in verifying shipments and maintaining records.

Organizational skills:

Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and maintain an organized workspace.

Communication skills:

Effectively communicating with team members, vendors, and other departments.

Basic computer skills:

Using inventory management systems, data entry, and potentially barcode scanners.

Physical stamina:

This role often involves lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience with Supply Chain is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to traverse distribution warehouse and access a variety of storage spaces and shelving units by stretching, squatting, and reaching. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time. Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures in the warehouse and on the loading dock.
