Job Description

Materials Coordinator Pro-Active Engineering life insurance, sick time, retirement plan United States, Wisconsin, Sun Prairie 350 Business Park Drive (Show on map) Mar 30, 2026 Pro-Active Engineering has an opening for a Materials Coordinator. This position oversees the flow of goods in and out of a facility, ensuring accurate record-keeping and proper storage for Printed Circuit Boards Assembly (PCBA).
Essential Functions Inventory Management:
Track incoming and outgoing stock, maintain accurate records, and update inventory databases regularly to prevent discrepancies.
Receiving and Processing Stock:
Inspect shipments, record product details, report damages or discrepancies, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Order Fulfillment:
Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment, coordinating with freight carriers to ensure timely delivery. Pull orders for kitting needs with generated pick list.
Stock Replenishment:
Monitor inventory levels and ensure production lines are adequately supplied.
Audits and Quality Control:
Conduct regular physical counts, daily cycle counts, verify inventory accuracy, and inspect products for quality or damage.
Shipping:
Prepare and package material shipments with required certification paperwork in accordance with established procedures, policies and industry regulations; perform outgoing shipment activities to validate and ensure accuracy, compliance and condition of material shipments are in accordance with industry and regulatory standards and adheres to established work processes, instructions and defined systems practices. Generate shipping labels, bills of lading, packing slips, and labeling with appropriate shipping information and complete appropriate paperwork. Contact carriers to schedule pick-ups in an effective and timely manner.
Organization and Storage:
Maintain a clean, organized storage area, optimize space, and ensure items are stored safely.
Data Entry and Reporting:
Record inventory data, generate reports on stock levels, turnover rates, and trends to support management decisions. Perform other related duties as assigned. Competencies Results Driven Attention to Detail Teamwork Oriented Ability to Work Independently Time Management/Organizational Skills Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, use fine hand motor skills/dexterity, use repetitive motions, and lift and/or move up to 35 lbs. semi-regularly. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Required Education and Experience Basic Math Skills. Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Physical capability to load/unload materials and operate warehouse equipment. Proficient Computer Experience such as Outlook, Excel, and Word (data entry, updating information, pulling information, sorting data, etc.). Good communication skills for coordinating with team members, suppliers, and freight carriers. Preferred Education and Experience 2+ years of relevant experience. Advanced Computer Experience such as Outlook, Excel, and Word. Experience with UPS and FedEx software and process. Knowledge of Inventory Management Software and Job Management Software (ERP). Knowledge of electronic components and equipment. Proficiency in inventory control procedures and computer systems. Ability to analyze data and resolve discrepancies efficiently
