Job Description

Warehouse Manager - Iron Horse Companies Position Summary The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Iron Horse Companies' warehouse, inventory management, material logistics, shipping and receiving, fleet support activities, and field resource coordination. This position serves as the primary operational leader of the warehouse and is responsible for ensuring materials, tools, equipment, vehicles, and resources are properly received, stored, tracked, maintained, and deployed to support field operations. The Warehouse Manager works closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, Purchasing, the Prefabrication Department, and the Logistics & Asset Manager to ensure efficient warehouse operations and timely support of construction projects. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, accountability, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.
WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS
Manage daily warehouse operations. Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and safety standards. Ensure warehouse security and proper storage of materials, tools, and equipment. Coordinate daily activities of warehouse personnel and drivers. Manage warehouse workflow, priorities, and resource allocation. Resolve day-to-day warehouse operational issues. Ensure compliance with company procedures and safety standards. Maintain accurate warehouse records and documentation.
INVENTORY MANAGEMENT
Perform and oversee physical inventory counts. Maintain inventory accuracy and organization. Receive, count, inspect, and inventory incoming materials. Organize and maintain inventory locations and warehouse layouts. Support inventory reporting requirements and audits. Assist with company tool tracking and accountability programs. Support material and product return processes. Assist with inventory reconciliation efforts. Support company asset tracking initiatives.
SHIPPING, RECEIVING & MATERIAL LOGISTICS
Oversee all shipping and receiving operations. Receive deliveries and verify quantities against packing slips and purchase orders. Store incoming materials appropriately and efficiently. Notify Project Managers and Superintendents when materials arrive. Stage materials and equipment for upcoming projects. Label pallets and project-specific materials. Coordinate jobsite deliveries, pickups, and material transfers. Schedule warehouse drivers and delivery resources. Ensure materials are delivered accurately and on time. Support logistics activities between warehouse, prefab, and field operations.
FIELD OPERATIONS SUPPORT
Serve as the primary warehouse contact for Project Managers and Superintendents. Coordinate urgent material requests and emergency deliveries. Support field operations through timely material delivery and resource allocation. Communicate daily with field leadership regarding warehouse priorities and material availability. Assist with project logistics planning and execution. Support company-wide operational needs as required.
FLEET SUPPORT
Perform and coordinate vehicle inspections. Document vehicle damage, maintenance concerns, and repair needs. Deliver vehicles for maintenance, repairs, registrations, and upfit appointments. Assist with vehicle pickups and deployments. Support fleet acquisition and deployment initiatives. Assist with registration renewals and compliance activities. Maintain fleet-related documentation as directed. Support GPS and telematics initiatives as directed by the Logistics & Asset Manager.
ASSET MANAGEMENT SUPPORT
Assist with deployment and tracking of company-owned assets. Support equipment deployment and utilization initiatives. Assist with warehouse and asset audits. Maintain accurate records related to tools, equipment, and company assets. Support branch startup and expansion initiatives. Assist with equipment staging and deployment across operating locations.
PREFABRICATION SUPPORT
Coordinate delivery and movement of prefab materials and assemblies. Support material flow between warehouse and prefab operations. Assist the Prefabrication Superintendent with logistics and material staging needs. Coordinate transportation and delivery of prefab assemblies to jobsites. Support prefab inventory and material management efforts.
PROCESS IMPROVEMENT & REPORTING
Support implementation of warehouse procedures and standards. Assist with warehouse process improvements and efficiency initiatives. Provide recommendations for operational improvements. Support implementation of warehouse standards across multiple locations. Assist with warehouse KPI tracking and operational reporting. Maintain accurate records and documentation supporting operational goals.
LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead by example and maintain a positive work environment. Hold warehouse personnel accountable to company standards and expectations. Promote safety, accountability, organization, and operational excellence. Assist with employee training and development. Foster teamwork between warehouse personnel, prefab operations, and field teams. Support company growth and operational excellence initiatives. Maintain a customer-service mindset when supporting internal operations.

Pay:
$25.00 - $28.00 per hour
