Job Description
Moon Valley Nursery is seeking a highly analytical and operations-driven Last Mile Delivery & Scheduling Analyst to support and optimize our large-scale delivery, installation, and tree care networks. This role will focus on last mile systems, network mapping, route efficiency, reporting, and scheduling logic across a nationwide operation that supports 150+ tree care teams, 150+ installation teams, and hundreds of thousands of residential service calls annually. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with last mile delivery platforms, strong analytical skills, and the ability to translate data into operational improvements that drive efficiency, customer satisfaction, and cost control. Key Duties and Responsibilities Last Mile Network Optimization Build, maintain, and optimize network maps for last mile delivery, installation, and tree care operations. Analyze network efficiency and identify opportunities to reduce drive time, miles, labor hours, and operational costs. Support scalable routing strategies for a high-volume residential service model. Routing, Scheduling & Logic Support Design, evaluate, and improve scheduling logic to maximize route density, on-time performance, and team utilization.
Support routing efficiency for:
150+ Tree Care teams 150+ Installation teams Partner with operations and dispatch teams to implement practical, field-ready scheduling improvements. Systems & Technology Work within last mile delivery and CRM platforms such as Oracle, Salesforce, or similar systems. Support the implementation, configuration, and ongoing improvement of last mile delivery and installation workflows. Ensure data accuracy and system alignment with real-world operational constraints. Reporting & Analytics Develop dashboards, reports, and KPIs related to: Route efficiency Delivery and install performance Scheduling effectiveness Capacity utilization Translate complex data into clear insights and recommendations for operations leadership. Track performance trends and support continuous improvement initiatives. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner closely with Operations, Tree Care, Installation, Dispatch, and IT teams. Act as a bridge between data, systems, and field execution. Support change management and adoption of new tools and processes.Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities 2-5 years of experience working with last mile delivery, routing, or scheduling systems. Hands-on experience with platforms such as Oracle, Salesforce, or similar last mile/logistics systems. Strong analytical skills with experience in reporting, data analysis, and performance measurement. Experience supporting large, distributed field operations or service networks. Proficiency in Excel and/or BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar). Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, operational environment. Education BS in Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience Physical requirements/Working Conditions While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 15 pounds. Able to work outdoors for extended periods of time in possibly extreme conditions, including rain, heat, sun, and wind.
