Job Description - Office Assistant Join Our Team! We are currently recruiting a Warehouse Manager to join our team and contribute to key projects in a dynamic and collaborative environment. This role is part of a global team working toward common goals. We operate as one company, across all locations, with shared responsibility and clear accountability. Job Summary Responsible for material and services procurement directly related to the operation and maintenance of an industrial power plant. Research best sources for material and services at quality level consistent with company standards. This position considers priority, pricing, and lead time exclusive of single source vendors. Responsible for coordinating warehouse inventory maintenance and material order receipt and distribution. Oversees the administrative tasks involved in the coordination of warehouse inventory and maintenance, material order processing, tools and equipment. This includes establishment of material delivery requirements to meet Planning, Purchasing, and other departmental working requirements. Provides first-line supervision to the Warehouse Clerk.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Development of work instructions, refinements of specifications, job estimating, contract development & administration, procurement of materials and services, all with extensive use of information systems. Incorporating work-scope, task sequences, technical specifications, quality checkpoints, and both environmental and safety considerations into a formal procedure that facilitates job execution. Generation of requisitions and purchases related to assigned work. Interact with Power Generation Personnel and support materials purchase to assure objectives are achieved. Initiates requests for quotations from vendors and bid analysis. Interviews and evaluates potential suppliers on a regular basis to build a certified vendor file. Contacts vendors on purchase orders to expedite. Interfaces with warehouse to establish appropriate stock levels. Analyzes material usage to develop accurate profiles for maintaining stock replenishment levels.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
Participates in daily Planning meetings and provides material status. Perform Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) analysis for most frequently consumed materials each year. Ensure MRP stock levels are accurate by working closely with Maintenance Supervisors and Planners. Develop and implement an annual Cyclical Count schedule to achieve a "full inventory" count before year end. Generate and oversee cyclical counts and report differences to Accounting. Manage and coordinate annual year-end inventory count. Act as primary contact for year-end inventory audit performed by the designated outside auditor. Work with Accounting to determine scrap and obsolete material analysis and submit adjustments. Completes assigned training requirements. Performs other duties as required.
Prerequisites:
High School diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 2 years'experience in warehouse, stock control methods and procedures, procurement/inventory control. Reliability, proven ability to communicate and multitask, well-organized, team oriented, promotes a safety culture that eliminates risk of injury, strong bias for action to meet goals and deadlines, takes responsibility for decisions and implements solutions, possesses an in-depth knowledge of plant generation systems, processes and practices.
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to work effectively with others. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to use logical reasoning to solve problems in a timely manner. Willingness to assist in training other personnel as directed. Ability to work safely and effectively with others. Strong understanding of Purchasing ethics. Strong computer background. Ability to manage multiple projects. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Good understanding of technical and mechanical terms. Good use of formulas for calculations, extensions and discount applications. Essential Functions of the
Job:
The ability to speak, read and write in English. Ability to perform light physical work, exerting up to 20 pounds of force on a frequent basis, and up to 50 pounds of force on an occasional basis, performing tasks requiring manual dexterity (such as keyboard and ten-key device operation), and such activities as grasping, lifting, reaching, crouching, standing, walking, running, climbing, stooping, kneeling, pulling, sitting, and repetitive tasks. The ability to discern assorted colors.
Working Conditions:
Works primarily in normal climate controlled office environment. Potential exposure to hot, cold, sudden change of temperature, dry, wet, dusty, dirty, quiet, noisy, and working alone or with others.

Potential hazards include Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS), minor cuts, falls, eyesight and hearing impairment. Occasionally works in normal power plant environment. Potential exposure to hot, cold, sudden change of temperature, dry, wet, dusty, quiet, noisy, moving objects, exposure to sun and rain, high places, and working alone or with others. Potential hazards include minor cuts, minor burns, electrical shock, falling objects, falls, eyesight and hearing impairment. Wearing of personal protective equipment is necessary, as is the ability to legally operate Company vehicles.
