SUMMARY OVERVIEW
The Senior Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations within the airport, including the storage, inventory management, and distribution of goods and supplies. This role involves developing and implementing efficient warehouse procedures to ensure the timely and accurate receipt and dispatch of materials. You will lead a team of warehouse staff, manage inventory levels, and collaborate with various airport departments to meet operational demands. Also, this position requires maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards and implementing cost-effective strategies to optimize warehouse efficiency and minimize expenses. The Senior Warehouse Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the availability of necessary supplies and materials for airport operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and oversee all warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of goods and equipment Develop and implement warehouse strategies and procedures to optimize workflow, inventory management, and resource allocation Supervise a team of warehouse staff, including recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and professional development Ensure compliance with safety regulations, security protocols, and industry standards within the warehouse environment Monitor and control inventory levels, conducting regular stock checks, and implementing measures to prevent losses or theft Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to streamline the supply chain process and meet operational needs Implement and maintain efficient storage systems, including rack layouts and product placement strategies Oversee the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring accuracy and safety in handling shipments Develop and manage the warehouse budget, including cost control, resource allocation, and capital expenditure planning Utilize warehouse management software and technology to track inventory, orders, and shipments Plan and execute regular warehouse audits to assess compliance, accuracy, and operational efficiency Collaborate with other departments to fulfill internal and external customer orders promptly Foster a culture of continuous improvement, seeking innovative solutions to enhance warehouse operations Ensure proper maintenance and servicing of warehouse equipment and facilities Prepare and present regular reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and improvement initiatives to senior management for review and decision-making Perform any additional duties as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS 18
years of age or older Eligible to work in the United States Must have a valid state-issued driver's license with an acceptable driving record Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking) Minimum of 7 years of experience in warehouse management, with a focus on inventory control Proven leadership and team management skills Knowledge of warehouse management software and systems Familiarity with safety and regulatory requirements in warehouse operations Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including the use of electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile Devices Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic means Pass a background check and drug screen Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable) Airlines are 24/7, so we need our team members to be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential requirement satisfactorily.
