Warehouse Manager Nate's Fine Foods - 3.1 Roseville, CA Job Details Full-time $70,000 - $76,000 a year 21 hours ago Benefits Health insurance 401(k) Qualifications Computer operation Logistics Forklift Driver's License Supervising experience Math Warehouse experience Computer skills Manufacturing Delegation Material handling equipment operation Full Job Description This Position will perform Warehouse functions including but not limited to supervising and directing warehouse employees, supervising the loading/unloading of trucks, managing inventory, document verification, reconciling inbound PO's and general warehouse management. The position works under the direction of the Plant Manager. Due to the nature of the work this position may work alongside their material handler team to accomplish daily warehouse goals. As a salaried position it is understood that during peak season or based on company needs this role will need to maintain flexible hours to support and direct their team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
⦁ Supervises activities of Material Handlers ⦁ Manage Material Handler coverage/hours ⦁ Hire/Train/Discipline/Terminate employees ⦁ Manage Master Cleaning Schedule for the Warehouse ⦁ Write/Manage/Update Work Instructions and/or SOPs ⦁ Manage & Own all inventory ⦁ Participate in Manager Training and Meetings ⦁ Serves as a back-up to Material Handlers during absences ⦁ Follow and enforce all company GMP's ⦁ Follow and enforce all Food Safety procedures ⦁ Utilize and enforce appropriate PPE for assigned tasks ⦁ Provides training, guidance and motivation to Material Handlers daily ⦁ Understand and enforce safe operation of equipment ⦁ Follow and enforce safety procedures ⦁ Prepares and maintains forms used in daily/weekly/monthly warehouse activities ⦁ Reviews all documents prepared by Material Handler and follows up on issues in a timely manner ⦁ Report all potential inventory shortages, problems with raw materials or problems with finished goods to the Planning & Logistics Coordinator ⦁ Ensure correct tag labeling and storage procedures are being followed. All food or ingredient containers must have a label which includes the item number, description of contents, lot number, manufacturer/expiration date, and weight of contents for work in progress products only ⦁ Prepares and sends communication to Plant Manager as needed ⦁ Assists in preparing corrective action suggestions when warehouse targets are not met ⦁ Ensure conformance to Warehouse Procedures and complete any assigned paperwork ⦁ Monitor equipment usage and own warehouse equipment maintenance ⦁ Notify Plant Manager and Maintenance of any equipment that is not functioning correctly ⦁ Adhere to and enforce company's code of conduct, GMP policy and all other internal policies/procedures
Essential Skills and Qualities:
⦁ Be reliable and dependable in attendance ⦁ Forklift/PIT certified or ability to become certified within 14 days ⦁ Valid motor vehicle license with good driving record ⦁ Professional demeanor ⦁ Ability to learn customer specific procedures ⦁ Ability to work well independently ⦁ Math skills & computer skills, Bachelor's Degree a plus ⦁ Previous work experience in a food manufacturing and/or warehouse environment required ⦁ Ability to lift (up to 50 lbs), stand for extended periods of time ⦁ Push, pull, squat, bend and reach above and below shoulder level ⦁ Ability to drive a forklift for extended periods ⦁ Attention to detail and able to work quickly and accurately ⦁ Be able to work flexible hours and be willing to adapt to changes in instructions and tasks
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, wet conditions and slippery floor. The noise level in the work environment is low to moderate and employees have the option to use hearing protection. There is also limited exposure to temperatures that range from freezing to sub-freezing (coolers or freezers).
