Job Description
Operations Manager - Distribution Center Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our distribution center. This role is responsible for leading warehouse teams, driving operational efficiency, maintaining inventory accuracy, ensuring safety compliance, and supporting on-time customer deliveries. Key Responsibilities Manage and oversee all distribution center operations, including receiving, shipping, inventory control, and warehouse activities. Lead and develop supervisors, managers, and warehouse associates to achieve operational goals. Ensure proper staffing levels and schedule coverage across multiple shifts. Coordinate with transportation teams to support accurate and on-time deliveries. Monitor warehouse processes, productivity, and performance metrics. Maintain accurate inventory and operational records through WMS and other systems. Promote a strong culture of safety and ensure compliance with OSHA, company, state, and federal regulations. Support employee training, coaching, and performance management. Assist with damaged product recovery, donations, and inventory reconciliation. Resolve operational and customer service issues in a timely and professional manner. Implement and maintain company policies, procedures, and operational standards. Qualifications 5+ years of leadership experience in warehouse, logistics, or distribution center operations. Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills. Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office. Ability to analyze operational challenges and implement effective solutions. Experience managing multiple departments, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed. Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs throughout the facility. Work Environment Fast-paced distribution center environment with varying temperatures. May require flexibility to support multiple shifts, and operational needs. This position is not a Monday - Friday, availability to work weekends is required. #LACE-1
