Williams Athletics is a family-owned and operated business with over 15 years of experience in the sports equipment, custom apparel, and team uniform industry. We are looking for a full-time Production Manager / Production Operations Lead to help manage the daily flow of custom apparel, uniforms, online orders, production tasks, and customer order deadlines. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is highly organized, calm under pressure, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment. The right person will help lead the production area, keep orders moving on time, communicate clearly with customers and team members, and make sure completed orders are accurate, organized, and ready for pickup or shipping. Responsibilities Daily responsibilities may include:
Managing the daily production workflow Ordering apparel, uniforms, heat transfers, and production-related items Tracking customer deadlines and making sure orders are placed on time Checking in incoming products and verifying sizes, colors, quantities, names, numbers, and order details Organizing products by customer order Heat pressing apparel, uniforms, names, numbers, logos, and other decorations Bagging, boxing, and preparing completed orders for customer pickup or shipping Communicating with customers by phone and email regarding order questions, updates, or issues Communicating clearly with the internal team about order status and deadlines Helping supervise and guide other production team members Reviewing custom order details carefully to prevent mistakes Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe production area Helping with other production tasks as needed during busy seasons Typical Daily Flow This role will usually include: 2-4 hours ordering products, reviewing order needs, and organizing the day's priorities 1-2 hours checking in incoming products and matching them to customer orders Heat pressing, organizing, bagging, boxing, and preparing orders Prepping completed orders for shipping or customer pickup Helping guide the production team and keeping the workflow moving This is an active role and may require being on your feet for 4-5 hours per day . Mistakes on names, numbers, sizes, logos, or order details can be costly and difficult to fix. Required Skills Strong organization and time management skills Strong attention to detail Ability to lead or help guide others Customer service experience Ability to use Microsoft Excel Comfortable using computers, email, and order management systems Ability to review names, numbers, sizes, logos, and order details accurately Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment Ability to communicate clearly and professionally Preferred Experience Experience in any of the following is helpful but not required: Custom apparel production Team uniforms or sports apparel Heat pressing Screen printing, embroidery, or apparel decoration Order fulfillment Inventory organization Production management Customer service Basic graphic/design understanding A background or interest in sports can be helpful because it makes it easier to understand the products, uniforms, order details, and how teams use the items. However, we are open to strong candidates with production, operations, fulfillment, or management experience. The ideal candidate should also have a good eye for what looks clean and professional on apparel, including logo placement, sizing, and general product presentation. Schedule This is a full-time position . During our busy seasons, especially in the fall and spring, overtime may be available or required depending on order volume.
