Warehouse Manager Full-Time | Management | Lithia Springs, GA 2nd Shift, 2pm Start Time, Monday - Friday About the Role Blue Harlan is the recruitment partner to this stable, growing wholesaler with a leading DC in the Atlanta Metro. We are seeking a hands-on, highly visible Warehouse Manager to lead day-to-day operations in a fast-paced pick/pack distribution center reporting directly to the DC Manager. This role oversees a team of approximately 50 associates, multiple shipping channels, and a complex transportation network including FedEx, UPS, drop-ship vendors, LTL, 3PL partners, and an internal private fleet with 12 overnight routes. This is a working manager role where you are expected to be on the floor, engaged with the team, driving urgency, reinforcing safety and training, and ensuring the work gets done accurately, safely, and on time. Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership Lead and execute daily warehouse operations including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control Ensure all customer orders are picked, packed, and shipped accurately within required service levels Maintain strong floor presence to coach, problem-solve, and drive real-time execution Establish and enforce standard operating procedures for inbound and outbound freight Team Leadership & Development Directly manage and develop a team of ~50 associates and supervisors Set clear expectations around productivity, quality, safety, and attendance Conduct training, performance coaching, and corrective action as needed Foster accountability, teamwork, and a strong sense of urgency LEAN, Continuous Improvement Lead rapid continuous improvement initiatives to stabilize operations during high-volume growth, increasing throughput while reducing backlog and order cycle time. Analyze key performance metrics (pick rates, backlog, error rates) to quickly identify bottlenecks and implement data-driven process improvements that restore flow and accuracy. Establish and standardize scalable processes (SOPs, KPIs, workflow design) to define a sustainable "new normal" for consistent, high-volume order fulfillment. Safety & Compliance Champion a safety-first culture through training, audits, and daily reinforcement Ensure compliance with company safety programs and OSHA standards Maintain a clean, organized, and inspection-ready facility Transportation & Logistics Coordination Coordinate with FedEx, UPS, LTL carriers, drop-ship vendors, and 3PL partners Manage internal private fleet operations and driver coordination Communicate proactively with carriers to resolve delays, exceptions, and service issues Systems, Reporting & Inventory Control Utilize PKMS / AS400 and warehouse systems to manage inventory and labor Generate and analyze productivity, accuracy, and inventory reports Investigate discrepancies, damages, and inventory variances Ensure accurate documentation and timely communication with purchasing, sales, and operations leadership Cross-Functional Communication Partner with Purchasing, Sales, Finance, and Operations to support business needs Provide timely updates to senior leadership regarding performance, risks, and improvement opportunities Key Requirements Leadership & Execution Proven ability to lead large warehouse teams with a hands-on, floor-driven leadership style Strong communicator who sets direction clearly and holds people accountable High sense of urgency with the ability to prioritize and execute under pressure Results-driven mindset with a focus on safety, accuracy, and throughput Experience & Education Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred Minimum 3+ years of warehouse or distribution center leadership experience Experience in a pick/pack, high-volume DC environment strongly preferred Experience managing multiple shipping methods and carrier relationships along with a LEAN, Continuous improvement mindset Technical Skills Working knowledge of WMS systems (PKMS / AS400 preferred) Comfortable with productivity reporting, inventory audits, and operational metrics Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, email) Physical & Work Environment Must be comfortable working in a warehouse environment with moving equipment Regular standing, walking, and floor engagement required Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally Exposure to moderate noise and varying temperatures to join this great team with strong benefits, growth opportunity, and an engaging culture!
