Position Summary:
Manage and coordinate warehouse activities (shipping, receiving, packaging, storage, and/or inventory control) in compliance with required company and customer requirements and schedules. Translate objectives into short-term assignments, processes and measures. Communicate what is to be accomplished and coordinate/integrate activities to achieve overall goals. Develop short-term department and individual associate goals and review progress. Ensure training is available for employees, organize work plans, and maintain a productive and motivational climate.
Primary Responsibilities:
Review purchase orders for material and equipment and anticipate receipt and handling. Establish minimum daily tasks for all assistants. Set up and organize tools and materials to maximize ability to locate existing stock and add inventory in an orderly manner. Solicit pricing and coordinate buy outs. Receive and write up requests from the field for equipment and materials for job site needs. Coordinate warehouse labor to facilitate on-site material handling upon request and when practical. Ensure warehouse and yard security after hours. Communicate effectively with subordinates, contract administrators, and field superintendents. Delegate daily tasks required to ensure efficient warehouse operation Exemplify, promote and foster our purpose of Committed to Excellence through our Core Values of Customers, Employees, Character and Mastery All other duties as assigned and required.
Required Qualifications:
Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and attention to detail Superior communication skills written and verbal Ability to work on a team and build working relationships within all levels of the organization Ability to perform without supervision Strong computer skills, specifically with MS Office Detail-oriented with drive to accomplish goals Must exhibit an energetic and positive attitude.
Education and Experience:
Associate or bachelor's degree preferred Will consider equivalent experience on case-by-case basis Management and warehouse experience beneficial; however, training will be provided.
