The Warehouse Operations Manager oversees day-to-day warehouse operations in a temperature-controlled cold storage environment and serves as a key site leader reporting to the General Manager. This role is responsible for executing operational plans, leading supervisors and warehouse teams, and driving performance across safety, quality, service, productivity, and labor efficiency while maintaining a strong floor presence and partnering with the General Manager, Corporate teams, and Customer Service to ensure safe, efficient, and customer-aligned operations. This 2nd Shift Warehouse Operations Manager will work alongside a first shift Warehouse Operations to help support the operations.

Essential Duties Include:

• Be a team player with a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude
• Lead daily warehouse operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and accurate execution of inbound, outbound, and order fulfillment activities.
• Provide direct leadership, coaching, and accountability to supervisors and warehouse team members, fostering a positive, high-performance, people-focused culture.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements, and actively support continuous improvement of site safety programs.
• Develop daily labor plans and shift assignments to align staffing with workload, priorities, and service commitments.
• Coordinate load planning and execution, including prioritization and expediting shipments to meet customer and service level expectations.
• Monitor operational performance and key metrics related to safety, productivity, quality, attendance, and on-time performance; take corrective action as needed.
• Partner with Customer Service to support customer relationships, resolve service issues, and ensure proper handling of customer products.
• Support inventory flow and warehouse organization by ensuring appropriate storage methods, product identification, and space utilization based on operational needs.
• Work closely with the General Manager and Corporate teams to support forecasting, labor planning, overtime management, and site-level operational reporting.
• Ensure warehouse facilities, equipment, and work areas are maintained in a safe and operationally sound condition.
• Lead by example through visible floor presence and hands-on operational support as needed.
• Maintain ongoing professional development and operational knowledge relevant to warehouse and cold storage operations.
• Minimal travel is required. Must have an acceptable driving record according to Company guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Leadership Team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent leadership experience, with 3-5 years of warehouse leadership experience; cold storage experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future employer sponsorship.
• Knowledge of food-grade warehouse operations and regulatory requirements preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to lead teams and collaborate effectively across functions.
• Proven leadership abilities with strengths in problem-solving, planning, and decision-making.
• Ability to read and understand written safety instructions, operational procedures, and training materials in English and communicate basic work-related information with supervisors and team members.
• Must have an acceptable driving record according to Company guidelines.

Physical Requirements:

• Core hours for this position are Monday to Friday 4pm to 12:30am. Ability to work extended hours, weekends, or holidays during peak operational periods or as business needs require.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull items regularly, up to 50 lbs. Specific customer requirements may require up to 100 pounds.
• Must be able to stand and walk for 8-12 hours per shift, often on concrete floors.
• Frequent bending, twisting, kneeling, squatting, and reaching above shoulder height.
• Repetitive use of hands and arms for picking, packing, scanning items, or operating equipment.
• Ability to be in a multi-temperature warehouse environment with temperatures ranging from outside ambient to -20 degrees F. Cold-Link provides cold weather gear for staff members.
• This is a safety sensitive position.
