This role ensures inventory accuracy, regulatory compliance, and efficient material flow to support uninterrupted production while maintaining the highest standards of safety and environmental responsibility. Key Responsibilities Raw Material Receiving & Inventory Control Supervise daily receiving of raw materials, chemicals, and HAZMAT in accordance with purchase orders and specifications Verify shipments for accuracy, damage, and proper documentation Ensure materials are correctly labeled, segregated, and stored per SOPs Maintain accurate inventory records using WMS/ERP systems Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with Supply Chain to prevent shortages or overstock HAZMAT & Safety Compliance Ensure full compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and local regulations related to hazardous materials Enforce proper storage, handling, labeling, and disposal of HAZMAT Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments Ensure availability and proper use of PPE Team Leadership & Training Supervise, train, and coach warehouse associates and material handlers Ensure employees are trained in HAZMAT handling, forklift operation, and safety procedures Assign daily work, set priorities, and manage labor efficiency Enforce company policies, work rules, and attendance standards Conduct performance feedback and assist with disciplinary actions when needed Process Improvement & Operations Support Identify opportunities to improve safety, efficiency, and inventory accuracy Support continuous improvement initiatives (5S, Lean, or similar) Coordinate with Production, Quality, EHS, and Purchasing teams Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred 3-5 years of warehouse or materials leadership experience Hands-on experience with raw materials and HAZMAT handling Strong knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and environmental compliance standards Forklift certification (or ability to obtain) Experience with inventory systems (SAP,D365) Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills Preferred Qualifications HAZWOPER or similar safety certification Experience in manufacturing or chemical environments Lean / 5S experience Prior audit or regulatory inspection experience Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Stand, walk, bend, and operate powered industrial equipment for extended periods Work in warehouse environments with varying temperatures and chemical exposure (with PPE) Work Environment Warehouse and production support areas Exposure to hazardous materials and industrial equipment Fast-paced, safety-critical environment
