Countryside, IL First Shift:

6am-3pm What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys being hands-on, takes pride in keeping operations organized. This role is perfect for a warehouse professional who has leadership experience, strong forklift skills, and mechanical knowledge of trucks and warehouse equipment. Responsibilities Equipment & Fleet Maintenance Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and warehouse equipment. Perform routine inspections of forklifts, trucks, and warehouse equipment. Handle minor repairs and maintenance when possible. Troubleshoot basic mechanical issues with delivery trucks, trailers, and warehouse equipment. Coordinate with outside repair vendors for major maintenance needs. Warehouse Operations Assist in managing daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping. Ensure customer orders are picked accurately and loaded correctly. Verify order accuracy before deliveries leave the warehouse. Organize inventory and maintain efficient warehouse layouts. Assist with cycle counts and inventory control. Monitor product rotation and warehouse cleanliness. Help maintain food safety and warehouse safety standards. Team Leadership Assist in supervising warehouse staff and daily workflow. Train employees on warehouse procedures and equipment operation. Help improve productivity, organization, and efficiency. Communicate with drivers, sales representatives, and office staff regarding orders and deliveries. Qualifications 3+ years of warehouse, distribution, or logistics experience. Previous leadership, lead warehouse associate, or supervisory experience. Forklift experience required. Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic equipment or vehicle repairs. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment. Basic computer skills (email, inventory systems, warehouse software, etc.). Experience in food distribution, grocery distribution, or wholesale distribution is a plus. Valid driver's license required.
