Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Direct, plan and coordinate the daily activities of the warehouse including, labor scheduling, supervision, proper utilization of space, and manpower to ensure a competitive service advantage by maintaining a high degree of accuracy and customer service. Ensure the safety and security of all warehouse and driver personnel by establishing policies for equipment maintenance and general housekeeping duties. Also responsible for the warehouse budget, employee development and customer interface. This position is 1st shift starting at 6:00am Monday through Friday.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Develop and direct programs to ensure the efficient and cost effective operation and utilization of the facility. Plan and schedule all distribution services including, receiving, storing, shipping, delivery, cutting and handling returned/damaged goods to ensure customer requirements are met in an efficient manner. Direct and oversee job assignments and plan daily labor schedules. Plan long range labor needs based on sales forecasts and input from other managers. Assist in the development of warehouse budgets. Recommend programs to improve warehouse operations. Direct operations of warehouse supervisory personnel to achieve prescribed objectives. Develop and maintain a productive work team by utilizing programs for hiring, training and professional development to match the skills an background of personnel to the work required. Apply sound communications and motivational techniques utilizing programs to supervise, counsel and discipline subordinates. Comply with consistent performance monitoring system for recommending promotions, wage increases and terminations. Develop, implement and direct programs to ensure safety of all warehouse personnel, equipment and property. Conduct monthly safety meetings. Includes full understanding and compliance with OSHA, DOT, HazMat, EPA and other government regulations. Provide safety training to personnel as needed. Report all work-related injuries to Human Resources immediately. Ensure immediate medical attention is provided to injured employees as necessary. Ensure accurate inventory control of each product in the warehouse. Establish picking error measurement programs to improve accuracy. Establish and maintain an extensive cycle count program. Control and direct all transportation functions of outbound customer orders to ensure meeting of company standards for customer service, cost and security. Develop procedures to ensure the efficient operation and utilization of all warehouse equipment. Monitor cleanliness and working condition of all equipment and oversee adjustments and/or repairs as necessary. Plan the quantity and type of equipment to meet business needs and minimize costs. Develop and implement a program of equipment maintenance. Ensure compliance with company policy regarding daily inspections and appropriate government relations. Develop a space utilization plan to meet prescribed cost and service standards. Maintain space layout plan to make sure it meets company standards. Maintain an effective product location system and update as necessary. Maintain a professional and courteous relationship with all sales, management, customer service, office personnel and customers. Audit operations to ensure customer service standards are being met. Promote teamwork between departments. Ensure accurate and timely preparation, processing and distribution and retention of all necessary reports and records regarding warehouse operations.SKILLS & ABILITIES

Microsoft Office Suite required. Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred.Other Requirements:
