Job Summary Direct management of warehouse team, including employee development, oversee (logistics), distribution, receiving, and all other warehouse operations. Provides grocery product by directing receiving, warehousing, and distribution services all while maintaining a safety conscious and efficiently trained staff to oversee the efficient receipt, storage, selection and dispatch of a wide variety of products. Ensure productivity targets are achieved and that all warehouse processes are running smoothly and promptly.
Responsibilities include:
- Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company's policies and vision
- Perform monthly and annual inventory count.
- Responsible for receiving activity and inventory control.
- Ensure regulatory requirements concerning safety are followed by all warehouse personnel.
- Oversee distribution, receiving, and warehouse maintenance operations
- Ensure that procedures are followed for all activities: receiving, order preparation, shipping, sampling per appropriate
- Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization of Warehouse
- Initiate, implement and enforce optimal operational policies, SOP's and procedures
- Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation, state and federal.
- Maintain standards, ensuring that all areas are in compliance and following all SOP's pertaining to health, hygiene, security and safety policies and procedures.
- Manage stock control by conducting physical counts and reconcile with inventory program.
- Produce reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, inventory, dead stock report etc.).
- Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
- Achieves financial objectives by working with finance on annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
- Ensure productivity targets are achieved and that all warehouse processes are running smoothly and promptly.
- Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees, including having necessary staff on hand for offloads (as needed).
- Plan work rotations, assign tasks appropriately and appraise results.
- Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
- Maintain and lead warehouse staff, including being able to motivate and hold accountable to their job responsibilities along with daily developing, coaching and engaging employees

- Proven work experience as warehouse manager, including logistic, supply chain, distribution center, inventory and transportation experience
- Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
- Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
- Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases

Strategic Education Requirements:
BS degree in Business preferred, logistics, supply chain management, business administration or related field and, or relevant experience. Directly related/relevant years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
