Job Summary The Distribution Center Manager is responsible for full ownership of the Distribution Center, overseeing all operational, administrative, and compliance functions to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient distribution of products. This role is accountable for performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people, and is responsible for building a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement. This is a hands-on leadership role in a lean operation, requiring the Manager to lead by example and actively engage in daily operations as needed to support the team and reinforce standards.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBIITIES
The duties include, but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed: Operations & Execution Own all aspects of Distribution Center performance, including warehouse operations, delivery execution, and administrative functions Ensure operations are executed accurately, efficiently, and consistently Establish clear priorities and standards across all distribution functions and proactively address operational issues Maintain strong visibility into daily operations and actively engage on the warehouse floor as needed Leadership & Team Management Lead and manage Distribution Center personnel, including the Distribution Floor Supervisor, warehouse staff and drivers Set clear expectations and hold team members accountable for performance, productivity, and accuracy Provide coaching, performance management, and development Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, teamwork, and continuous improvement Safety & Compliance Ensure full compliance with OSHA, DOT, ADA, and all applicable regulations Oversee DOT fleet compliance, including driver qualifications, logs, inspections, and audit readiness Promote a culture of safety and ensure consistent adherence to safety standards Logistics & Fleet Management Oversee transportation and delivery operations, including routing, scheduling, and service levels Ensure on-time, complete deliveries and efficient fleet utilization Inventory & Process Management Own inventory accuracy and control within the Distribution Center Establish and enforce processes for receiving, picking, transfers, and cycle counts Drive root cause analysis and corrective action for inventory discrepancies and order errors Operations Performance Manage Distribution Center expenses, labor efficiency, and delivery costs Monitor operational performance across safety, quality, delivery, and cost, and address issues impacting productivity, service, or efficiency Identify and implement improvements to drive efficiency and performance Cross-Functional Coordination & Internal Customer Support Serve as the primary point of contact for store operations Partner with Manufacturing, Store Operations, Sales, and Purchasing to ensure operational alignment Coordinate with the Spray Department on equipment movement and shared workflows Identify and resolve recurring issues impacting internal customer experience REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree from 4-year college, or equivalent work experience, preferred 5+ years of Distribution Center or warehouse management experience Proven experience leading teams and managing operational performance Experience with DOT fleet management and regulatory compliance Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics processes Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement and operational efficiency Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Experience with warehouse management systems and operational reporting Physical Requirements Ability to stand for long periods of time Must be able to lift and/or move 60lbs THE COMPANY
