Job Description

Delivery Lead Duration:
12+ months

Detroit, MI Rate:
$doe/hr Hybrid - 3 days a week onsite work Required. Key Responsibilities - Program & Delivery Leadership
  • Own delivery across full lifecycle: requirements, architecture alignment, build, testing, deployment, and stabilization
  • Ensure adherence to Client PMO governance, delivery frameworks, and reporting standards
  • Manage scope, schedule, financials, risks, and dependencies
  • Technical Leadership (Key Differentiator)
  • Act as a hands-on delivery leader capable of getting into the weeds during technical design and architecture discussions
  • Partner with architects, engineers, and vendors to define:
  • Meter data management (MDM) integrations
  • Grid/ADMS and OMS interfaces
  • Translate business and operational needs into technical requirements and solution design
  • Provide guidance on system performance, scalability, and data flows AMI & Grid Integration
  • Ensure AMI 2.0 capabilities integrate with ADMS, OMS, SCADA, and Distribution Operations systems
  • Support use cases such as outage detection, remote connect/disconnect, voltage monitoring, and analytics
  • Align AMI enhancements with control room and field operations workflows tied to system reliability and restoration Stakeholder & Vendor Management
  • Coordinate across cross-functional teams including Field Operations, Metering, Customer Systems, and Grid Technologies
  • Drive decisions, manage escalations, and ensure alignment across all parties Operational Readiness & Change Management
  • Lead readiness activities including business process updates, training, and user adoption
  • Support deployment strategies including pilot, rollout, and scaling phases
  • Ensure smooth transition into production operations with minimal disruption Risk, Compliance & Performance
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and operational standards
  • Monitor KPIs, data quality, and system performance post-implementation
  • Drive continuous improvement and optimization across AMI platforms Required Qualifications
  • 8-12+ years of experience in utility IT, grid modernization, or AMI program delivery
  • Proven experience as a Delivery Lead / Program Lead on large-scale utility implementations
  • Direct experience with AMI systems (meters, head-end, MDM, integrations)
  • Strong understanding of utility operations (distribution, outage management, field operations)
  • Ability to engage deeply in technical architecture and integration discussions Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with AMI 2.0 upgrades or large-scale smart meter deployments
  • Familiarity with
ADMS / OMS
platforms and grid modernization programs
  • Knowledge of SCADA, distribution systems, and data/analytics platforms
  • Experience working in or supporting control room / system operations environments
  • PMP, Agile, or SAFe certification preferred
