Job Description:
THIS IS NOT AN ENTRY LEVEL POSITION
Job Responsibilities:
Shipping and Receiving:
Receiving:
Accept incoming shipments, check for damage, and ensure items match purchase orders
Storing:
Organize and label incoming stock, and keep inventory accurate using
FIFO Shipping:
Prepare orders for shipment and label outgoing packages in a timely manner
Warehousing:
Safety:
Follow safety regulations and procedures, including wearing protective equipment and ensuring aisles are clear
Organization:
Set priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain a clean and orderly warehouse
Maintaining Records:
Keep track of inventory, shipping, and purchase orders Respond to phone calls and emails and communicate with vendors Conduct quarterly physical inventory and identify gaps Solve issues such as addressing supply chain challenges Ability to drive a forklift System /
Accounting:
Work within a comprehensive business IT system (inputting customer orders, modifying orders, creating purchase orders, inventory pricing, etc.) Complete monthly sales tracking reports for key suppliers
Product Knowledge:
Over time, learn about Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) products to assist customers Over time, learn about technical gas detection products to support customer needs
Skill Sets Required:
Promote a culture of teamwork, productivity, and efficiency Team player - ability to contribute in a small company environment Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate inventory and efficiency Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a timely manner Strong problem-solving skills Desire for continuous improvement Physical ability required (e.g., lifting boxes) Must possess a valid driver's license
