Position Title Distribution & Logistics System Manager Days

Career Interest:
System Manager Spend Management Distribution and Logistics are responsible for oversight and management of teams performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary at the system level. These duties include (not limited to) receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transportation, storage and delivery of products from request to final disposition. This may include functions of answering questions for staff and customers alike on process, product, recall, stock-outs, orders requests, and other duties as assigned. Ensures that processes are SIMPLE, VISIBLE and
REPEATABLE.

  • Other areas as assigned This position is responsible for direct reports and responsibilities that cover all hospitals within our health system.
The role requires experience and demonstrated ability to work across departmental lines to complete tasks in the most efficient manner possible. Exceptional initiative is crucial to this role, strong interpersonal capabilities and the ability to meet productivity and quality requirements will be necessary to ensure that the individual is successful. Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions Directs and manages team members to achieve timely response to customer inquiries, requests for information, audits, inspections and overall system compliance from a distribution and logistics perspective. Motivates employees to ensure that predetermined productivity and quality standards are achieved. Plans, organizes and manages the work of staff to ensure that the work is accomplished in a manner consistent with organizational requirements. Monitors productivity and adheres to budgetary guidelines while working to meet Distribution and Logistic objectives and operational goals. Ensures quality service is provided to the customers and ensures prompt follow-through on customer correspondence, complaints and inquiries related to system supply chain responsibilities. Ensures compliance at the local levels. Adheres to budget requirements and works toward achieving health system objectives and goals. Responsible for employee development, which includes training, coaching, counseling and performance appraisals. Ensures that reports are providing standardized support to health system supply chain resources. Maintains general responsibility for following established disciplinary process in counseling, oral and written warnings. Identifies opportunities to improve efficiency while providing flawless transactions and services; manage monetary assets and other resources to optimize cost effectiveness. Collaborates with other managers or staff members to formulate and implement policies, procedures, goals, or objectives. Proactive in managing compliance; establishes, meets or exceeds health system, state, federal and local policies, regulations, and safety/health standards. Inspires through action; is a hardworking, lean thinking and hands-on leader with the ability to change and adapt quickly utilizing data to drive decisions. Prepares ad hoc reports as necessary. Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department. Required Education and Experience Bachelors Degree in related field of study from an accredited college or university. High School Graduate 3 or more years of related experience in a fast-paced environment; customer service, distribution or similar. Preferred Education and Experience LEAN certification to be completed within 12 months. Knowledge Requirements Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to speak and understand English. Ability to work and adapt in a fast and dynamic organization. Maintain proficiency for departmental and system training requirements. Excellent interpersonal, organizational and follow up skills in addition to analytical skills and problem-solving skills strongly preferred. Healthcare background preferred.
