Job description HomeDeliveryLink is a leading national furniture and appliance delivery service provider. HDL provides a range of home delivery and final mile logistics solutions for world-class retailers of furniture and mattresses. Our fast-growing team is made up of sharp, energetic team members with a "can-do" attitude and a strong work ethic. HomeDeliveryLink is currently in need of an Assistant Delivery Operations Manager to help oversee one of our furniture home delivery and installation operations, based in the St. Louis area. This leader's responsibilities will include shared oversight of our local network of independent home delivery contract carriers, close partnership and interactions with our clients, and make sure that each and every delivery customer has an amazing delivery experience. Skills used include computer-based routing system knowledge, MS 365 applications, verifiable customer service excellence, above-average verbal and electronic communication skills, adherence to established processes, and process development ability. Required 1+ years of management experience in contract based, final-mile, 'big and bulky' home delivery Excellent organizational skills required Sound judgement and critical thinking skills required Strong, professional oral and written communication skills required Ability to influence and positively motivate direct reports and business partners Multi-tasking ability in a fast-paced environment Ability to produce and execute development plans for several direct reports Logistics contractor management experience is strongly preferred High School Diploma or equivalent required MS 365 suite application proficiency is required High tolerance for confrontational situations required DOT and Federal regulations knowledge is required Candidates with home delivery experience and a professional network in the STL contract carrier community are preferred. Tuesday through Saturday regular schedule with some flexibility is required. HDL is a growing, medium-sized family-owned company that takes pride in our people.
