Full-time SUMMARY:
The position of Warehouse Manager has been established to enhance the profitability of the business by maintaining and effectively managing inventory, tools, supplies, company fleet, deliveries, securing the warehouse and supervising staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of workers engaged in receiving, transporting, stocking, order filling, shipping, and maintaining accurate Tool watch inventory and stock records in warehouse. Responsible for overseeing storage, inventory accuracy, material and supplies stored at the warehouse. Maintain control of tool and equipment inventories, keeping replacement costs to a minimum.
  • Ensure proper tracking of tools and tool parts to project sites.
  • Maintain current data and records on the Tools.
  • Produce and distribute monthly a tool inventory listing to general manager.
  • Reconcile inventory after manager review to assure accurate inventory. Identify and coordinate tool repair and maintenance.
  • Ensure all tools distributed to a jobsite are in proper working order and are complete with all accessories and check that they are returned in the same condition.
  • Evaluate and coordinate repairs for damaged tools. Repair resolution should be based on the most cost effective result. Purchase tools, equipment and supplies within budget guidelines and negotiate advantageous prices, services and terms.
  • Review existing company owned items to fulfill requirements prior to purchasing these items.
  • Maximize the utilization rate of tools and equipment Manage company fleet maintenance and repairs by ensuring all construction vehicles and equipment are well maintained, secure and safe to use.
  • Coordinate repair of equipment and vehicles.
  • Maintain records and schedule routine maintenance on equipment/vehicles.
  • Interface with general Manager on vehicle repair and assignment. Maintain secured, clean, and organized storage areas and establish warehousing standards when necessary. Oversee coordinate and expediting of the flow of work and material according to production schedules.
  • Design, develop and improve inventory movement and storage systems.
  • Monitor that deliveries of supplies and equipment arrive at jobsites per schedule. Enforce company policy and procedures in regards to workmanship standards, safety and training.
  • Provide Safety information and training according to company policies and OSHA requirements.
  • Monitor field housekeeping activities for compliance with job safety requirements and standards.
  • Schedule Warehouse training as required.
  • Ensure proper reporting of employee job injuries.
1. Valid Driver's License and ability to pass a MVR 2. Must have good driving record that meets company safety driving record requirements. 3. Ability to lift 50 lbs., move 70 lbs. and load/unload trucks using forklift required. 4. Experience operating basic power hand tools required. 5. Physical agility to conduct warehouse inventory required. 6. Must be able to read, write, spell, compute basic math equations and communicate verbally. 7. Previous warehouse and delivery driver experience preferred. 8. Operate company vehicles within branch local or regional territory required. Must have experience towing a trailer up to 30' 9. Must pass a DOT physical 10. Must possess basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
Working conditions:
1. Warehouse temperature controlled and outside working environments as needed. 2. Local travel required as needed to operate company delivery vehicles.
Physical requirements:
1. Maintaining body equilibrium and agility to prevent falling when walking, standing, crouching, ascending or descending stairs, 2. Standing, walking, speaking, typing and driving for long periods of time, 3. Using upper extremities to apply or exert a force up to 70 lbs., 4. Climb and maintain balance on ladders and scaffolds, and 5. Strong vision (naturally or with correction) to see and distinguish colors.
