Full-time High-Level Job Description:

Warehouse Manager (Electrical Contractor Support) Position Summary The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the overall operation, organization, and efficiency of the warehouse supporting a commercial electrical contracting business. This role oversees warehouse staff and daily logistics , ensures accurate receiving, staging, inventory control, and delivery of materials to multiple jobsites, and maintains company vehicles, facilities, tools, and equipment . The Warehouse Manager partners closely with Project Managers, Foremen, Purchasing, and Accounting to ensure materials are available, accurate, and delivered on time to support field productivity and project schedules. Key Responsibilities Warehouse Operations & Inventory Management

• Direct day-to-day warehouse operations, including material storage, layout, labeling, and housekeeping.
• Manage inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation; maintain clear documentation for material movement.
• Coordinate staging/kitting of materials by project (e.g., panels, conduit, wire, lighting, devices, gear) to support installation sequences.
• Implement and maintain standard processes for receiving, put-away, picking, and returns. Receiving & Material Control
• Oversee receiving materials from vendors and distributors; verify quantities, condition, and specifications against purchase orders/packing lists.
• Identify shortages, damaged goods, back orders, and incorrect shipments, coordinate resolution with Purchasing and vendors.
• Track and control high-value materials (wire, gear, specialized devices) and ensure secure storage and accurate sign-out procedures. Delivery & Jobsite Logistics (Commercial Electrical Projects)
• Plan, schedule, and execute delivery of materials, tools, and equipment to multiple commercial jobsites.
• Coordinate with Foremen/Superintendents on delivery windows, site access, staging locations, and material priorities.
• Ensure proper loading, securement, and documentation of materials leaving/returning to the warehouse.
• Manage returns, restocking, and redistribution of excess job material to reduce waste and job cost. Company Vehicles & Fleet Oversight
• Oversee company vehicles used for deliveries and field support (trucks, vans, trailers, forklifts as applicable).
• Coordinate preventative maintenance schedules, inspections, registration/renewals, cleanliness standards, and repair needs.
• Maintain vehicle usage logs and ensure compliance with safe driving and load securement practices.
• Support incident reporting and coordinate repairs or claims in alignment with company policy. Facilities, Tools, and Equipment Oversight
• Maintain warehouse facility readiness: safety signage, lighting, racking integrity, dock areas, storage yards, and security systems.
• Oversee tool crib/tool tracking, calibration (as needed), and maintenance of company tools and equipment.
• Manage material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) and ensure operator training/authorization records are maintained as required.
• Coordinate vendor service providers for facility or equipment repairs. Safety, Compliance & Quality
• Promote a safety-first culture; enforce safe warehouse practices, PPE use, and proper material handling procedures.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas following established standards.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, jobsite delivery requirements, and applicable

expectations where relevant to operations.

• Document and communicate safety incidents, near misses, and corrective actions. Leadership & Cross-Functional Coordination
• Supervise, coach, and schedule warehouse personnel and drivers; assign tasks to meet operational priorities.
• Train team members on processes, inventory systems, material identification, and quality expectations.
• Collaborate with Purchasing and Project teams to anticipate demand, lead times, and delivery needs.
• Provide status updates on material availability, shortages, delivery schedules, and inventory metrics. Preferred Qualifications (High-Level)
• Experience managing warehouse operations and logistics, preferably in electrical distribution or commercial construction environments.
• Strong understanding of electrical materials and terminology (conduit, wire, fittings, devices, lighting, switchgear, etc.).
• Ability to operate and oversee safe use of forklifts and material handling equipment (certification a plus).
• Valid driver's license: clean driving record (CDL may be a plus depending on vehicle requirements).
• Familiarity with inventory systems, spreadsheets, and basic reporting.
• Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to prioritize across multiple jobsites.
