Full Job Description Position Overview:
We are looking for a proactive Yard Manager to oversee our yard operations and ensure smooth workflow. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, organized, and capable of making quick common-sense decisions to support our team and maintain equipment efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Yard Operations:
Manage the yard, ensuring it is organized and clean. Conduct yard clean-up and maintenance, ensuring all equipment is in its proper place. Oversee one or two mechanics, ensuring they have the parts and tools needed for their tasks. Handle equipment logistics, including transporting items to job sites.
Administrative Duties:
Maintain maintenance logs and track parts usage for the day.
Assess equipment repairs:
determine whether issues can be fixed or if new parts are necessary. Make informed decisions on equipment repairs, balancing cost-effectiveness with operational needs.
Qualifications:
CDL license is beneficial Strong mechanical skills and the ability to operate skid steers and other machinery. Excellent organizational skills and common sense for problem-solving. Ability to make quick decisions regarding equipment maintenance and repairs.
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, with flexible hours: 6 AM•3 PM or 7 AM•5PM with flexibility throughout the day
Pay:
$60,000.00•$70,000.00 per year
