Yearly Position Overview:
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations, including inventory management, material handling, logistics coordination, and team supervision. This role ensures that materials, tools, and equipment are efficiently received, organized, and distributed to support field operations and project timelines. The Warehouse Manager plays a critical role in maintaining accuracy, safety, and operational efficiency while supporting company growth and customer satisfaction.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations & Inventory Management Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and equipment. Maintain accurate inventory levels through tracking, cycle counts, and reconciliation processes. Develop and implement warehouse organization systems to optimize space utilization and accessibility. Ensure materials are properly staged and prepared for delivery to job sites. Monitor inventory usage and coordinate replenishment to prevent shortages or delays. Logistics & Coordination Coordinate material deliveries and pickups to support project schedules and field team needs. Work closely with project managers and field personnel to ensure timely and accurate material distribution. Manage vendor deliveries and verify accuracy of received goods. Assist with purchasing and procurement of materials as needed. Team Leadership & Supervision Supervise and support up to three (3) warehouse employees, including scheduling, training, and performance management. Promote a positive, productive, and safety-focused work environment. Ensure team adherence to company policies, procedures, and operational standards. Equipment & Asset Management Maintain accountability and tracking of tools, equipment, and company assets. Ensure proper handling, storage, and maintenance of equipment. Coordinate repairs, replacements, and preventative maintenance as needed. Safety & Compliance Enforce warehouse safety standards and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety policies. Conduct routine safety inspections and address hazards proactively. Maintain accurate safety and operational documentation. Administration & Reporting Maintain organized and up-to-date records of inventory, deliveries, and warehouse activity. Utilize company systems and software to track materials and operations. Provide regular updates and reports to management regarding warehouse performance and needs. Other Responsibilities Perform additional assignments as required to support company needs and strategic goals. Continuously strive for high levels of efficiency, organization, and team performance. Support company initiatives focused on growth, process improvement, and customer satisfaction Minimum Requirements Minimum three (3) to five (5) years of warehouse or logistics management experience, preferably in construction or a related industry. Proven experience in inventory control, material handling, and warehouse operations. Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to manage and develop a small team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience with inventory or ERP systems preferred. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills. Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and management. Knowledge of warehouse safety practices and regulations. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Ability to work in a warehouse environment, including standing, walking, and operating equipment for extended periods.
