Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Warehouse Manager to support our warehouse operations and ensure efficient distribution processes. This role involves overseeing inventory control, managing team activities, and maintaining safety standards within a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, technical knowledge of warehouse systems, and a proactive approach to process improvement. Responsibilities Assist in managing daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, and inventory management. Support the implementation of process improvements to optimize workflow and reduce errors. Oversee inventory control procedures, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation using warehouse management systems such as AS400. Coordinate warehouse distribution activities to meet delivery schedules and customer expectations. Supervise warehouse staff, including scheduling, training on safety protocols such as OSHA standards, and performance evaluations. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized work environment. Experience Proven experience in warehouse management or supervision within a logistics or distribution setting. Strong knowledge of inventory management systems, warehouse management systems (WMS), and logistics operations. Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures, 3PL (Third-Party Logistics), and materials handling techniques. Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse equipment operation is preferred. Experience with e-commerce fulfillment processes is a plus. Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively while maintaining high safety standards. Prior experience working with OSHA regulations, heavy lifting protocols, and warehouse safety practices is essential.
