Job Description

We are looking for a Warehouse Assistant Manager to support day-to-day operations and supply merchandise by directing receiving, warehousing, and distribution services across several of our local locations.
Specific Duties Include:
Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures. Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions. Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols. Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system. Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement. Achieves financial objectives by analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions. Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results. Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees. Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; establishing network; reviewing professional publications. Protects employees by providing a safe and clean warehouse. Trains and monitors warehouse employees on safety rules and regulations. Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; assisting sales staff on security needs. Assists in over-all maintenance of the company's building facilities. Maintains warehouse vehicles and equipment by following manufacturer's standards of use; performing and scheduling preventive maintenance; reporting damage or mechanical problems to an officer of the company. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Exemplifies the company's core values of honesty, integrity, respect, commitment and quality. Assists with organization, transportation and delivery of goods to stores safely and timely.
QualificationsExperience Experience:
1-2 years of warehouse management experience. Must possess valid class C license Certifications (Preferred): •
Fork Lift Technical Skills:
Proficiency in modern POS systems, Excel Spreadsheets, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Other:
Spanish Bilingual preferred Completes required paperwork timely. Communicates with management and staff as necessary. Works assigned duties and is flexible with assignment changes as directed by project leaders and management. Is able to lift, push, pull, move merchandise, equipment, and supplies up to 50 lbs. Is able to stand, bend, lift, and move intermittently during 7+ hour shifts. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed and exemplifies the company's core values of honesty, integrity, respect, commitment, and quality.
