The Warehouse Assistant Manager (WAM) plays a critical leadership role in supporting daily warehouse operations and ensuring execution excellence across inbound, inventory, and outbound delivery preparation. This position partners closely with the Operations Manager to drive performance, enforce process discipline, and uphold white-glove service standards. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for maintaining operational flow, supporting carrier teams, and ensuring every product leaves the building delivery-ready and damage-free.
Responsibilities:
Support daily inbound and outbound operations, ensuring timely unloading, staging, and dispatch readiness Oversee product flow from receiving through deluxing, inspection, and loading Ensure all items are properly scanned, staged, and routed in alignment with system and client requirements Monitor dock activity, off-dock times, and route readiness to drive on-time departures Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts, audits, and system reconciliation Enforce inspection standards for all inbound product, identifying and documenting damages or exceptions Ensure all product is properly deluxed (cocoon wrapped, protected, and customer-ready) prior to loading Partner with leadership to resolve discrepancies and prevent recurring issues Provide daily oversight and support to Network Carrier Partners (NCPs) and warehouse associates Reinforce adherence to SOPs, safety protocols, and client-specific service requirements Assist in onboarding and training of new warehouse personnel and carrier teams Serve as a point of contact for escalations, issue resolution, and operational communication Ensure all outbound product meets Pulse Final Mile's white-glove delivery standards Support initiatives that improve Perfect Delivery Rate, Productive Delivery Rate, and Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) Identify and address root causes of damages, delays, or service failures Maintain a safe and organized warehouse environment, ensuring compliance with OSHA and company standards Conduct routine safety audits and enforce proper equipment usage Ensure all teams follow proper lifting, handling, and product protection procedures

Requirements:
- 3+ years of warehouse or logistics experience (final mile or furniture delivery preferred)
- 1+ years in a supervisory or leadership role
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and dock management
- Experience working with independent contractors or carrier partners is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with shifting priorities
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
- Proficient in warehouse systems, handheld scanners, and Microsoft Office Physical Requirements Ability to lift and move up to 75 lbs Ability to stand, walk, and work in a warehouse environment for extended periods Comfortable working in varying temperatures and conditions
