Job Description

About Us:
We are a fast-paced manufacturing/machining facility based in the Lincoln, RI area. We are seeking a hardworking, detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk to manage our warehouse inventory and handle local deliveries to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Shipping & Receiving (60%):
Process Inbound Freight:
Unload incoming shipments, inspect for damages, and verify that deliveries match purchase orders and packing slips.
Organize Warehouse:
Sort, label, and safely store received merchandise in designated warehouse locations.
Prepare Outgoing Shipments:
Pick, pack, and label orders for shipment. Coordinate with carriers and prepare bills of lading.
Inventory Control:
Perform cycle counts, maintain accurate stock records, and assist with periodic inventory audits. Local Deliveries (40%):
Operate Company Vehicle:
Safely drive a company [Insert Vehicle Type, e.g., cargo van / box truck] to deliver products and pick up returned merchandise on established local routes.
Customer Service:
Interact with clients in a professional, courteous manner. Obtain signatures for deliveries and process necessary receipts.
Safe Operations:
Follow all state driving laws and maintain a clean driving record.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Experience:
Minimum [ 1-2] years of experience in warehouse operations, shipping/receiving, and local driving.
Education:
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
License:
Valid Driver's License with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). (Ability to obtain or current DOT medical card is a plus).
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk for extended periods, and perform physically demanding tasks.
Equipment:
Forklift and pallet jack certification/experience is highly preferred.

In this role, you will be responsible for accurately managing incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring seamless order fulfillment, and delivering products efficiently to our customers. Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will help keep our warehouse operations running smoothly while providing exceptional service during deliveries. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of our supply chain process, supporting e-commerce and warehouse distribution operations. Responsibilities Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments using RF scanners and warehouse management systems to ensure accuracy and quality. Prepare outgoing orders by picking, packing, and staging items for shipment, utilizing order pickers, pallet jacks, reach trucks, and forklifts as needed. Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently, adhering to proper safety protocols with equipment such as forklifts and load & unload tools. Maintain precise inventory records within warehouse management systems like Jobboss software, ensuring stock levels are accurate for order fulfillment. Conduct stock replenishment by stocking shelves and organizing warehouse storage areas to optimize space and accessibility. Deliver products to customers or vendors promptly while following all safety regulations; operate delivery vehicles responsibly as a designated driver. Assist with warehouse distribution tasks including order picking, packing, and inventory management to support e-commerce operations. Utilize RF scanners and basic math skills to ensure correct order processing and shipment accuracy. Qualifications Prior experience working in a warehouse environment with familiarity in shipping & receiving processes. Valid forklift certification; experience operating reach trucks, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment preferred. Knowledge of warehouse management systems such as AS400 or similar ERP/MRP software. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for inventory control and order accuracy. Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy packages, load & unload activities, stocking shelves, and operating warehouse equipment safely. Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for delivery responsibilities. $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
