Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Warehouse Manager to oversee all warehouse operations related to event rentals. This person will be the bridge between ownership, sales, creative teams, and the warehouse — ensuring every job leaves our doors organized, prepared, and held to the Lit standard. This leadership role requires a highly motivated individual with strong logistical, managerial, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations Management :
Oversee all aspects of warehouse functions, including receiving, inventory management, organization, and order fulfillment for event rentals. This includes managing both new and returning inventory, ensuring timely and efficient packing, and ensuring that items are properly stored and easy to locate.
Team Leadership :
Manage, support, and lead warehouse team members. Oversee daily schedules, priorities, workloads, and accountability Create a positive team culture while maintaining clear expectations. Train team members on processes, procedures, safety, and quality standards. Lead weekly operations meetings and communicate priorities across departments
Inventory & Equipment Management :
Maintain an organized warehouse with a digital log (including measurements), photos, and numbered bays for all inventory. Regularly inspect rental items with warehouse team to ensure that proper notes are in place for packing and transport. Manage the acquisition of supplies and tools, including dollies, rolling carts, and painting kits, to ensure smooth operations. Track inventory levels and manage returns to ensure stock accuracy.
Quality Control & Maintenance :
Oversee the cleaning and repair of inventory, ensuring items are properly maintained for each event. Perform regular checks to ensure that tools and equipment are replenished and in working condition. Conduct testing and installation of items as they arrive, ensuring they meet the required size and functionality standards.
Logistics & Coordination :
Manage the loading and unloading of trucks for events, ensuring that items are packed properly for transport and unpacked carefully at event venues. Organize and coordinate on-site logistics to ensure the smooth flow of event setups.
External Rentals & Custom Builds :
Work with external vendors and suppliers to coordinate rentals (e.g., carpenters, welders) and ensure that all custom builds are completed on time. Oversee the logistics of pickup and drop-off for these external rentals.
Safety & Process Improvement :
Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment. Continuously seek opportunities to improve warehouse operations for greater efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness.
Requirements:
Education & Experience :
A Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field (preferred not required), or 3-5 years of relevant experience in warehouse management. Proven experience in a warehouse management or similar role, ideally in a fast-paced, event or production based environment.
Skills & Abilities :
Strong leadership and team management skills with a proven ability to motivate and develop staff. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams, external suppliers, and vendors. Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement and efficiency. Proficiency in using warehouse management software and related tools. Physical Requirements & Availability Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs).
