This pivotal role involves overseeing inventory control, supply chain logistics, and warehouse distribution processes to ensure seamless product flow from procurement to delivery. The ideal candidate will excel in optimizing inventory accuracy, implementing process improvements, and managing supplier relationships—all while maintaining a focus on safety and efficiency during the first shift. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate all aspects of inventory management within the distribution center, including stock levels, replenishment, and cycle counting. Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP platforms such as SAP or AS400 to track inventory data, analyze trends, and generate actionable insights through tools like Power BI and Tableau. Develop and execute procurement strategies by sourcing materials, negotiating contracts with suppliers, and managing supplier performance to optimize costs and delivery times. Conduct root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies or supply chain disruptions, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Collaborate with logistics teams to plan demand forecasting, production planning, and order fulfillment processes aligned with sales forecasts and demand planning tools like Nielsen or demand analytics software. Drive process improvements by analyzing data collection efforts, streamlining materials handling procedures, and leveraging analytics for continuous operational enhancements. Oversee shipping & receiving operations, including heavy lifting tasks with forklifts or other materials handling equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Experience Proven experience in supply chain management within a large warehouse or distribution environment with high volume and peak planning. Strong background in warehouse distribution, inventory control, procurement, and logistics management. Demonstrated ability to utilize data analysis skills for process optimization using tools such as SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytics platforms. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems like SAP or AS400, and demand planning software. Knowledge of category management, pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and supplier management practices. Experience with materials handling equipment operation including forklifts; safety certification preferred. Excellent analysis skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis and implement effective solutions for process improvement.
