We partner with large enterprises and high-growth consumer brands to deliver high-volume, quality-first print production on demanding timelines. Our warehouse and shipping function is mission-critical: when volumes spike during the holiday season, we need a leader who has been there before and knows exactly how to execute. Position Summary The Warehouse & Shipping Manager owns the full inbound/outbound logistics operation — from receiving raw materials and substrates through order fulfillment, carrier management, and final shipment. This role is responsible for running a safe, accurate, and fast warehouse that can scale aggressively during peak periods. The right candidate has managed high-volume outbound shipping operations, has direct experience leading multi-shift warehouse teams, and has a verifiable track record of navigating holiday peak ramp-ups — including surge staffing, carrier capacity planning, and SLA defense under pressure. Key Responsibilities Warehouse Operations Manage all inbound receiving, inventory control, material storage, and outbound fulfillment Maintain accurate inventory records for substrates, finished goods, packaging materials, and consumables Develop and enforce SOPs for receiving, picking, packing, and shipping Ensure facility organization, safety compliance, and OSHA standards are maintained at all times Shipping & Carrier Management Own all carrier relationships (UPS, FedEx, USPS, LTL/freight) and negotiate rates in partnership with leadership Manage daily shipping operations to ensure on-time delivery against client SLAs Monitor carrier performance metrics and escalate service failures proactively Maintain proficiency with shipping platforms (Shppo, ShipStation, EasyPost, or equivalent) Peak Season & Surge Capacity Develop and execute detailed peak season operating plans, including staffing models, carrier capacity reservations, and facility layout adjustments Lead temporary workforce onboarding and training during ramp-up periods, ensuring safety and accuracy standards are upheld Build multi-shift scheduling models that sustain throughput across extended peak operating windows Coordinate closely with the Production Manager to align output pacing with shipping capacity Team Leadership Directly manage warehouse leads and associates across all shifts Set clear performance expectations and hold team accountable to accuracy, speed, and safety metrics Foster a culture of ownership and urgency without creating burnout during sustained peak periods Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Production Manager to ensure finished goods flow efficiently from press floor to fulfillment Provide regular inventory and shipping status reporting to leadership Support client-specific fulfillment requirements, including special packaging, kitting, or insert instructions Required Qualifications 5+ years of warehouse and/or shipping management experience in a high-volume environment (print, e-commerce, 3PL, or similar) Demonstrated experience managing multi-shift warehouse operations Proven, specific experience leading a holiday or peak-season ramp-up — including temporary staffing management, carrier planning, and volume scaling Strong carrier knowledge across small parcel (UPS, FedEx, USPS) and freight; ability to manage and optimize shipping costs Hands-on experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and shipping software Solid grasp of inventory control principles and cycle count methodology OSHA/workplace safety knowledge or oversight experience preferred Preferred Qualifications Experience with DTC fulfillment operations, particularly for consumer photo or personalized products Experience managing 3PL or staffing agency relationships during surge periods Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary commensurate with experience Performance bonus tied to shipping accuracy, on-time delivery, and cost targets Full benefits package including medical, dental, and vision Paid time off and company holidays
