Full-time Definition:
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations related to the receiving, storage, inventory management, staging, delivery preparation, and distribution of commercial furniture products. This role ensures efficient warehouse processes, maintains inventory accuracy, supervises warehouse staff, and supports installation and delivery teams to meet customer expectations and project deadlines. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, experience in logistics or warehouse operations, and a solid understanding of commercial furniture handling and project coordination. Core duties include but not limited to: Warehouse Operations Manage daily warehouse activities including receiving, unloading, storage, staging, and shipping of commercial furniture products. Ensure warehouse operations are organized, efficient, and compliant with company safety standards. Develop and maintain warehouse processes to improve productivity and reduce errors or damage. Coordinate inbound and outbound freight schedules with vendors, carriers, and project managers. Oversee furniture inspection upon receipt for quality, damage, and accuracy. Inventory Management Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management or inventory software. Conduct routine cycle counts and physical inventories. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with purchasing and operations teams to ensure product availability. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly. Team Leadership Supervise, train, and evaluate warehouse personnel, drivers, and support staff. Assign daily tasks and manage workflow to ensure timely completion of deliveries and installations. Foster a positive, safety-focused, and accountable work environment. Delivery & Installation Support Coordinate staging and preparation of furniture for delivery and installation projects. Work closely with project managers, installers, and delivery teams to ensure project readiness. Verify delivery paperwork, packing lists, and installation documentation. Assist in resolving field issues related to missing or damaged products. Safety & Compliance Enforce OSHA regulations and company safety procedures. Ensure proper operation and maintenance of warehouse equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks. Maintain a clean, organized, and secure warehouse environment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Required 3-5+ years of warehouse management experience, preferably in commercial furniture, logistics, or related industries. Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and shipping/receiving procedures. Experience supervising warehouse teams and coordinating multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment. Proficiency with inventory management systems and Microsoft Office applications. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to lift and move furniture products as needed. Bilingual in English and Spanish Preferred Experience in commercial furniture dealership or installation environments. Knowledge of furniture manufacturers, installation processes, and project staging. Forklift certification. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 75 pounds regularly. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday. Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures. Schedule Full-time Monday-Friday with occasional overtime or weekend work based on project schedules.
